Description
The SHEARTEST-100M is a flexible and durable direct-shear system that is operated manually. This apparatus utilizes hydraulic actuators to apply both normal and shear forces simultaneously to a rock sample situated within a specimen shear box. The system records shear and normal displacements and forces through a dedicated computing station. These collected data are subsequently employed to calculate the shear strength properties of the rock, including the cohesion (c) and the friction angle (Ø).
